Winemaker Location: Spain
Our penultimate wine for the Advent Calendar is Seaworth, a Sauvignon Blanc from central Spain. In addition to the typical grapefruit and fresh cut grass notes, there is also pineapple and other tropical fruits that makes Seaworth stand out from the pack. It has a vibrant acidity and a good, fruity finish, where notes of pineapple, passionfruit and grapefruit leave their mark on the palate. This is a highly drinkable wine, crisp and clean, from a region that I never thought to be associated with Sauvignon Blanc – a shortcoming on my part that I will have to rectify soon.
