Magic Box Cabernet Sauvignon
For the 8th day of Advent we have another Magic Box wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon. This full-bodied red has flavors of black cherry compote, cooking spices and vanilla. It is rather bold at first spice and oak leading the way, but the tannins are supple giving this wine depth without overly taxing the palate. Soft, rounded mouthfeel with a dark fruit finish that lingers, so while it starts off bold it finishes surprisingly gentle. Simply put this is an approachable Cab Sauv, and the $12.99 price point makes it wallet friendly as well.
