Wild Child Red Wine

We’re halfway through the 2024 Advent season, and today’s featured wine is Wild Child Red Wine. This wine is a fruit bomb. Jammy fruit (Cherry, blackberry) on the nose and palate, pretty acidic with a light tannin structure. The tasting notes say there are flavors of chocolate and toasted oak but I barely tasted the chocolate on the backend. The front end is all blackberry and cherry jam. So it’s not as complex as the tasting notes will have you believe. But that said, this isn’t a glass of juice either. I enjoyed this wine, I found it almost refreshing for a red, and the finish is long. It’s a good simple wine that would definitely pair well with spaghetti bolognese or lasagna. Or again, just enjoy it by itself and have fun.
